Cultured and natural pearls

Natural pearles are formed when a grain of sand of a piece of shell enters the Oyster or Mollusk and forms an irritant within the soft tissue. The response to that is to form layers of nacre over the irritant to protect the soft tissue. This is the formation of the pearl. The difference between a Natural Pearl and a Cultured Pearl is theat the irritant gets in accidentally and the Cultured Pearl. The irritant is inserted by a human. The pearl is still formed naturally within the oyster.

Natural
natural pearls are formed by a small piece of shell or grit accidentally getting into the shell and setteling in the soft tissue… this causes the shell to form a protective layer of nap around the irritant to protect the soft tissue. and slowly the oyster deposits the pearl layers and the pearl forms as we know it. as the years go by the pearl get bigger and forms it’s many distinct colours from the minerals that are in the sand and environment of the region. this can happen in the pristine waters of the South Seas, Indonesia and the Philippines and their many islands that have these ideal waters. To the fresh water lakes, rivers and streams of Japan and China.

Cultured Pearls
The only difference in the pearls is that a human has inserted the small piece of shell in the oyster soft tissue this causing exactly the same response of the oyster to build layers of nap around the irritant and this form the beautiful pearl that can only be done with nature’s hand. The Cultured Pearls are formed in the same pristine natural conditions as the natural pearl. So the end product is a beautiful and elegant pearl that will enhance any women.

Fresh Water Pearl
Fresh Water Pearls form in many elegant shapes, styles and colours //as they are generated the same way as Cultured Pearl so the have the same beauty, elegance and unique styles that only nature can can create.

They are created mainly by Hyriopsis Cumingi “the triangle shell” and Hyriopsis Schlegeli “Biwa Shell” that live in lakes, riverbeds and creek bottoms. No two fresh water pearls are created the same, so your piece is always unique and never repeated. your piece is one off and is totally unique to you.
